The work is aligned on a north-south axis as a reference to the Rhein River that has a historical (and current) importance to the area and its confluence with the Ruhr and Ruhrort.

Holzmiete Fibonacci

A site specific piece installed in Puglia, Italy. The work comprises split wood logs stacked and arranged in a traditional “Holzmiete” arrangement. The piece stems from utilitarian roots, but refined through the repetition of forms and the exact measurement - 1.618 m ø which refers to the Fibonacci sequence and its ubiquitousness in nature - used here in an abstract setting. Elegy I

A site specific piece installed in Puglia, Italy. The work comprises local stone found and selected in the area around Cavalerizza. Approximately 4 metres in diameter; surrounding an almond tree estimated to be 50-60 years old at the time the work was completed. The north-south axis is defined by the central split of the coloured stone. Viewing by appointment.
